I just completed the registration phase of these courses I'm starting, and in doing so I have lost almost all faith in this system. First if all the registration was a ten step ordeal, with questions consisting of "Do I require supervision to stay on task without supervision?", and my personal favorites "Are you prepared to express myself in writing using Word Processing software?" and "You ask questions when I am unsure what to do or need help?"

Seriously? I'm taking an English course from these people? My optimistic side tries to see the humor in asking when you, meaning the student, will express bewilderment when I, the teacher, am unsure what to do. I certainly hope the teacher has at least a rudimentary understanding of what they're teaching. This had better be worth the money I'm spending on it...though I now grasp the significance of the secretary leaning over and telling me that I can cancel the courses and get a refund.
